However, he also said that that there will be no public subsidy for nuclear but that the Government was considering a limit on liability. This, it may be argued, is a for of subsidy because it means that taxpayers take on the risk if there is an accident and for the clean up costs.

@Green Business - I agree, but with what happened to Japan recently. It would be hard to gain support for nuclear power stations. However, renewable solar energy is gaining traction. Looks promising.
ReplyDeleteI prefer using solar panels instead of relying on nuclear energy since solar power is renewable and safe. The only thing that hinders its process is the cost of solar panels itself.
ReplyDeletePhilippines is lucky to not have been able to complete their nuclear power plant under Marcos. Now with the price of solar panels coming down maybe the price of electricity can become competitive.
