There has been a nice series at the Capitalists@Work site on the 'scorched earth' policies of the out-going 'Nu-Labour' government. At the above link, they discuss three of the most damaging aspects of Labour's wilful abuse as concerning Energy Policy.

1. The stymieing of extremely useful technology
2. The unnecessary costs of feed-in-tariffs
