'The Real Global Warming Disaster’ by Christopher Booker

Professional myth debunker and elegant taunter of idiots (most notably, his successful winding up of the deluded George Monbiot), Christopher Booker has announced the launch of his latest book, The Real Global Warming Disaster.

Thanks to misreading the significance of a brief period of rising temperatures at the end of the 20th century, the Western world (but not India or China) is now contemplating measures that add up to the most expensive economic suicide note ever written.

His own summary of the arguments in the book can be read at the Daily Telegraph's online edition.

  2. There are times that it is extremely difficult for people to be entirely environmentally-friendly in spite of their best intentions. The use of cars, for example, is a common cause of air pollution across the world, yet in terms of saving time it is generally the most efficient mode of transport for people to get from their home to their place of work.
